SCOPE – POST FIXTURE / COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Day to day operations of the vessel can be categorized as per below:

  • Vessel fixing, planning and execution in line with the Charter Party for each vessel
  • Monitor each voyage from the Laden leg to the Ballast leg
  • Voyage bunker planning
  • Measure and analyse the performance of each vessel at port and at sea
  • Calculation of Laytime and Demurrages

  • Appointment and follow-up with Port Agents
  • Estimation of total voyage cost
  • Verifying Final Disbursement Accounts against the relevant Port Tariffs
  • Time bound follow-up and settlement of Final Disbursement Accounts
  • Ensuring timely payments and maintain Tally records.

Logistics Management for Vessels not under Post Fixture Management

  • Maintain Logistics database for entire fleet of wet and dry vessels

Pre – SIRE/CDI Inspection before Inspection by Oil/Chemical major:

  • A good ranking in the OCIMF/SIRE database is an essential tool for independent owners of tanker Vessels in order to ensure employment for their Vessels.
  • A Pre-Vetting inspection can help in minimizing or even eliminating the risk of negative observations during a SIRE Vetting, thus maintain a low observation score in the database.
  • During a Pre-Vetting Inspection, we send an experienced Marine professional to perform an in-depth inspection covering all areas on board in relation to the SIRE Vetting Program with special focus on the Vessel Inspection Questionnaire (VIQ) in order to prepare the vessel for an upcoming vetting.
  • The overall objective is to identify any deficiencies which, according to the our team (back office and Inspector attending on site i.e. on board) are likely to cause a negative response during a SIRE Vetting.
  • The Vessel Operator is provided with daily report and a detailed report with the recommendations after completion of the Pre-Vetting Inspection.
  • Upon request we can also assist with Owner’s response following a SIRE Vetting with negative observations.

SIRE / CDI Reports

  • Critical review of SIRE and CDI reports of vessels on behalf of Charterers

External Navigation Audits

  • Navigational incidents are where the ship owner’s largest risks lie due to which the ship owner’s company reputation is becoming more serious.
  • Preventing these accidents is not difficult.
  • The techniques for safe navigation are widely known and when mastered and professionally carried out, the navigational risks are notably reduced.
  • Navigational Audit is a tool to increase the navigational safety standards in a shipping company.
  • Our Auditors go on board and discuss the scope of attendance. It is understood and detailed by the company that certain number of hours shall be dedicated to program every single day of attendance. This shall include interviewing each officer and carry out minimum set of trainings / PPT presentations, real-time assessments and open forums

Our Auditor will:

  • Use checklists / questionnaires as per industry (SIRE/VIQ) and Oil Majors’ standards..
  • Analyse audit results to identify weak areas, training needs and trends.
  • In-house developed questionnaire basis repetitive findings over a period of time.

Pre- Purchase/Pre Charter and Owners Inspections

  • Vessel and machinery are surveyed and a detailed report/analysis issued for a specific vessel which will help the prospective buyer to decide on appropriate purchase. Preliminary report will be issued within 48 hours after returning the assignment.
  • Inspections of vessel on behalf of the Charterer pre-fixture and routine inspections during Time Charter.

Tank Cleaning Expertise

  • Advising on and assisting in cleaning/preparing of tanks (Petroleum products, Chemical and Gas) on all type of tankers.
  • Expertise in Tank Cleaning / Wall Wash cargoes.

Port Captaincy / Cargo Expediting

  • Assist in Chemical and Oil Tanker Port Captaincy jobs as per terminal requirements.
  • Port Captaincy either routine or specific to needs of the charterer for loading / discharging / coolant loading / gassing up / tank cleaning etc.

Accident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis

  • Investigation of accidents to Vessels and personnel on behalf of Vessel owners and underwriters in order to establish a root cause.
  • Incident and Near Miss investigations are conducted with a view to comprehend the underlying cause of failure. The lessons learnt are translated into workable action plan so as to render instantaneous corrective actions and devising measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents in future.
  • Not only the future mishaps are secured but also the morale of personnel and efficiency of operations are enhanced too. Hence the costs saved adds to the feasibility of your operations and also signifies your business is secured.

TMSA Gap analysis / Preparation
